In part, the developers succeeded, but the emphasis was not on the conversations between the NPC and the user, but on the gameplay, similar to Star Wars: KotOR.

The player will have to Download the game and create their own character, whose name cannot be changed - Captain Shepard. It is proposed to choose 1 of 6 classes: engineer, adept, soldier, scout, attack aircraft and guard. Each of them has its own fighting style and level of proficiency in a certain type of weapon. Thus, the effectiveness of using weapons that are not suitable for the class will be several times less than the adapted ones.

The game world is quite extensive: the user is given a journey through galaxies, subdivided into star clusters, which consist of star systems containing several planets and, sometimes, space stations. To move around the locations, the ship "Normandy" is provided, and the all-terrain vehicle "Mako" is used to study the surface for the presence of resources and fire at hostile creatures.

Combat system Mass Effect on Mac OS is a tactical third-person shooter. During battles, you can enter the menu (the combat process will stop at the same time), from which you can select an ability or weapon: a shotgun, a pistol, an assault rifle or a sniper rifle.

It is possible to choose a replica in a dialogue using the dialogue wheel, in which there are 4 answer options: friendly and hostile, developing the dialogue and ending it. Thus, choosing a line, you can get a very different attitude of the characters to the hero. Reputation among NPCs is very important, as it decides how the story unfolds.

Plot

22nd century, 83rd year. The main character is Captain Shepard, Captain Anderson's senior mate on the Normandy. The protagonist is a candidate for the seat of the Special Corps member. In order to get there, the main character must pass a test - to deliver an artifact from the human colony of Eden Prime. During the mission, the ship is attacked by enemies - the geth. Having broken through to the desired load, the character begins hallucinations associated with the apocalypse. When the protagonist comes to the Citadel and talks about his involvement in the attack by Saren Arterius (a turian soldier), no one believes in betrayal. In the investigation of this case, the character will be helped by Donnel Udina, but the player will take responsibility for everything that happened. And only he will decide how the story will end.
