The event is interpreted by the Russian authorities as a casus belli, and they send army units to invade US territory. In one of the clashes, we see American soldiers Dunn and James Ramirez, who defend Virginia, and then break into the capital of Washington with fights.

At the same time, OTG-141 are busy searching for Makarov. In Rio de Janeiro, his assistant Alejandro Rojas, who manages to capture and interrogate, is discovered. He said that Makarov stubbornly hunts for a certain Gulag prisoner No. 627. John McTavish wants to steal this man and use him to capture Makarov. The squad goes on a mission and frees the prisoner, who turned out to be Captain John Price. Together with a new member of the team, OTG-141 detachment conducts another impudent operation - it makes its way to the Russian submarine and launches missiles towards the United States, programmed to hit all military equipment in the conflict zone.
