Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive Free Full Version on Macbook
Don't Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland, a post-apocalyptic pixel-art adventure game for Mac OS, premiered on March 11, 2019. The project is the fruit of the hard work of a single person - a Polish developer hiding under the pseudonym Scriptwelder.
In Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive, players will enter the image of David - a lonely wanderer struggling to survive after an unknown cataclysm that led to the fall of half the moon to Earth. The result of the disaster is the destruction of the environment and the almost complete destruction of the world's population. To survive, David must daily take care of fortifying the abandoned house, which protects the hero from the deadly threats of the wasteland. Haunted by mysterious dreams, the protagonist wants to know the truth about the apocalypse.
The indie project owes its name to the popular series of browser games previously created by Scriptwelder - Don't Escape. Unlike those typical survivors, the goal of the game here is not to escape, but to protect your hideout from an impending threat.
In subsequent chapters, players will encounter various dangers that lie in wait for the protagonist. Overcoming them will require using the items found and solving tricky puzzles. Each stage can be completed in several different ways, which encourages multiple replays. During the game, you will face poisonous gases, giant mutant spiders, swarms of locusts and extreme temperatures.
Don't Escape: 4 Days to Survive is a typical old school Mac OS quest. Only the mouse is used for control. Puzzles are not reduced to dubious and unobvious manipulations with objects, as is often the case in games of this genre, but to using available resources in the most efficient way. If you correctly prepare for an impending disaster and survive it, the next day a bonus will be issued, for example, +5 kg to the maximum load of the backpack.
In terms of graphics, 4 Days to Survive is made in the fashionable aesthetics of pixel art today and is stylized for games of the late 80s. It is somewhat reminiscent of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis.
4 Days in a Wasteland draws inspiration from classic point & click adventure games, weaving elements that are typical of survival games. Time flows inexorably throughout the day, and David must think carefully about which next steps to take, for each action costs him precious minutes. The character has the ability to quickly move between locations, but depending on the method of movement, it takes a different time. For example, it will take half an hour to walk on foot, and 4 minutes by car. True, the car must first be repaired, which is also not quick. Whether he will manage not to waste a second and hold out for four days in the wilderness is up to the player who clicks Download the game.
