The Dead Island project on Mac OS offers players to be on the non-existent tropical island of Banoy, near New Guinea. More recently, the island was very popular and was densely populated, but still the majority of areas on its territory are still virgin and wild jungle. Due to a sudden outbreak of infection with an unknown virus in human settlements, there is a threat in the form of an invasion of bloodthirsty zombies.

Only four of the locals are immune to the infection, but risking their lives, they are forced to leave the island in a hurry. Following external directions on the radio, four heroes, including other survivors on the island, are trying to get through all the dangerous places in the form of beaches, city blocks and the jungle that are teeming with the walking dead and looters. Dead Island is a first-person non-linear gameplay with hand-to-hand combat and cooperative passing mode. Gameplay

When passing the game campaign, accumulating experience and points, new territories of Banoy will be opened in front of the player. Each level gives one skill for improvement, which can be spent on the ability of the three branches of skills:

• Rage - the ability of a character to show anger during a battle;
• Combat - physical abilities and possession of weapons;
• Survival - includes skills such as regeneration of life, making money, breaking locks and stamina.

Each of the heroes has his own individual talents, owns his own type of weapon and has a unique character. You can distribute character skills as the player wishes.

Since the main task in Dead Island for Mac OS is for the player to survive, the gameplay includes the possibility of using such types of resources as: cash, drink, food, medicine, cartridges and items to create new weapons. First-person view, realistic physics and body behavior brings the hero's endurance and well-being to a more plausible movement and interaction with the environment. Endurance directly affects the duration of the run, the ability to jump and strike. The weapon has the property to fail over time and will have to be repaired on a special machine, where it can also be improved.
