An important change was the ability to adjust the army and artifacts. Now the player can place a certain part of the units, or an artifact in a free cell on the map. The heroes themselves were also redesigned, they received new abilities and characteristics. The map has acquired new buildings, such as: the sphinx, Transylvanian taverns, crypts and much more. Traveling around the world has become much more interesting, and the variety of events has increased significantly.

Also introduced minor innovations, such as: changes in the economy, resource extraction and characteristics of artifacts. They are not as visible as everyone else, but they completely change the understanding of the game.
