UEFA Euro 2012 is a football simulator for Mac OS, first released not as a full-fledged project, but as a paid downloadable add-on to FIFA 12. It is the official simulator of the 2012 football championship in Europe. The project was developed and published by Electronic Arts in the same year.
Game process
The user can play a specific match (or their series), just like in FIFA. But in this case, the user is asked to create his own scenario for the development of UEFA 12, where he will have to play for one of 53 teams in 8 stages of the ending tournament.
Expedition Mode allows you to develop your own strategy and stick to it. The tactics can be used when playing with any team from a European country, which can help the player immerse themselves in the tournament process and feel like a full-fledged representative of the football team. Winning rewards can range from boots and squad kits to unlocking new strategies that could bring a player victory in a future match. Bonuses are issued based on the dаta: what score and with what margin the team won.
All 53 European teams have been added to the game, which can be download here. Unfortunately, not everyone is licensed due to unsuccessful negotiations between developers and football associations. It turns out that only 29 teams became licensed out of all. EA explained this as “business influence,” which is true. And although not all national teams were licensed, they are still present and you can play for them.
Also new trophies have been added to UEFA Euro 2012 on Mac OS. The number was 10, which might also keep players looking for them all. The Daily Challenge mode gave players the opportunity to complete daily tasks during various national team matches. The mode opened after the start of the championship, on June 8. The participating teams update their roster, that is, before the start of the tournament, new characters are added, participating in the matches for a certain national team.
The supplement came out quite well, since most FIFA players are football fans, and participation in a large-scale championship is a good chance to test yourself as a coach of a team and bring it to victory. And although the company has combined 2 series of games into one, nothing has become worse from this. Conversely, players can now participate in championships by playing FIFA. And this is the right step taken by the company.
