Metro 2033: Redux Free Full Version on Macbook

Metro 2033: Redux for Mac OS is a re-release of the first-person shooter about the apocalypse. Owners of Metro 2033 could get up to 50% discount on pre-ordering the updated version on Steam.

With the purchase of 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux, 3 new modes were introduced into the game: Ranger - no interface and increased difficulty during the passage; Spartan - more balanced battles and frequent loss of game resources; Survival is a horror-like mode: fewer resources, slower reloading, stronger enemies.

Compared to the original, the reissue was developed on a new version of the A4 Engine, which gave improved lighting, drawing details, new character animation and much more in terms of graphics. Also, chips from Last Light were transferred: wiping the visor, installing attachments on weapons, stealth kills.

Gameplay

Since the original project was developed mainly by the creators of S.T.A.L.K.E.R, the game on Mac OS turned out to be a shooter with horror elements. The gameplay is dominated by realism: there are almost no indicators on the screen, only the amount of ammunition, filters and adrenaline injections. Health has to be determined by the sounds of the heartbeat and the number of bloody traces on the screen; the degree of wear of the gas mask - along the cracks on the mask.

You have to navigate the terrain exclusively by compass, since there is no map. Locations can harm the player: if you touch the water, you can lose a certain amount of health, and if you do not change the filter on the gas mask in time, there is a risk of suffocation from the poisoned air. This kind of gameplay especially pushes the Download game.

Plot

The prologue tells the story of the campaign of the protagonist - Artyom and his comrade Melnik to the Ostankino TV tower. When they leave Metro 2, three people from the group are found, after which they are attacked by mutated creatures.

The story begins with the main character waking up at a metro station. This place became a home for Artyom when his stepfather, Alexander Sukhoi, brought him here. Later, the protagonist met Hunter, a mutant attack fighter. Sukhoi talked about "black" - beings that strongly influence the human psyche and transform the received energy into physical force of unreal power. Hunter is trying to learn more about this genus of mutants. Leaving, the protagonist receives a stalker's medallion and an assignment - if Hunter does not return by the next morning, he will have to go to the Pole for Miller's help. Hunter did not return the next day. Artyom will face a difficult path that will decide the fate of many people.
