MISSING: An Interactive Thriller - Episode One Free Full Version on Macbook
MISSING: An Interactive Thriller - Episode One is a mix of 90s game series with classic adventure. It can be called an interactive thriller and a classic FMV quest, that is, a game with Full Motion Video technology, which allows you to use full-fledged videos instead of game graphics. This technology was popular in the 1990s. This is the first FMV-quest that looks competitive against the background of modern games. This quest is a successful attempt by the developers to revive the genre of similar games. The style of the game is difficult to define, as it features features of indie, adventure games, puzzles, TV series, cinematics and so on. The developers have not defined the style in the game.
MISSING: An Interactive Thriller - Episode One for Mac OS was released on May 25, 2015. It was created by the Canadian studio Zandel Media. The video sequence, soundtrack and storyline immerse the player in a special atmosphere of danger. The game keeps you in suspense from the very beginning, allowing you to feel like the hero of the Saw movies. The impression is that the player is involved in the making of the movie but is not playing the game in any way.
The game on Mac OS has two main characters: David Newcastle and Detective Lambert. The plot begins with David waking up in a basement in chains to see the words “Play with me” written on the door and an attached photograph of David with three girls. He has to get out of the basement with the help of the player, find out the identity of the kidnapper and his motive, and save his family. Meanwhile, Detective Lambert is investigating the disappearance of several townspeople and finds the car from which David was kidnapped. The player will have to solve many puzzles and react in time to situations occurring with the characters. Professional actors participated in the creation of the game, who did an excellent job with their task. It is impossible to doubt the sincerity of their emotions.
The gameplay is based on studying the scene in order to find clues or objects that are needed to solve a particular puzzle. There will be times when the player has limited time to think and a quick reaction is required. You will constantly have to examine the entire location as a whole to find all the necessary puzzle pieces. The average time to complete the first episode of a series is 50 minutes. So far, there is only one episode of this game that can be download here. Subsequent parts of the game have not yet been announced.
