Quake II Free Full Version on Macbook
Quake 2 is a classic 3D FPS action game for Mac OS. This is not a direct sequel to the original Quake, the second part takes place in a different world and has a completely different story. You take on the role of a Marine named Bitterman, battling the Strogg race and their leader Macron.
Game content offers to go through about forty levels, complete many tasks, finding access cards and keys. Or think a bit, uncover secret locations and access them in a fun single-player campaign following in the footsteps of other FPSs of the time.
The campaign is followed by two official additional mission sets, The Reckoning and Ground Zero. The game is also renowned for its strong community and multiplayer mode, which has largely revolutionized the concept of competitive gaming. The success of this part was also facilitated by the support for 3Dfx maps, which improved the graphics, which were already very good for those times.
Quake 2 saw a sequel to Quake III: Arena, focused exclusively on multiplayer, followed by the classic single player Quake 4, continuing the story of the second.
To properly deal with monsters, you have at your disposal a solid arsenal of weapons, which will eventually grow to ten barrels. In the beginning there is only a pistol, which, although low-powered, has unlimited ammunition. Then a shotgun, submachine gun, minigun, grenade launcher, rocket launcher are added. During the game, you should use the correct weapon for the specific situation. For example, a rocket launcher is good for long-range targets, but useless for short-range targets, because the explosion will hurt you too. In the game on Mac OS at any level of difficulty, the player is required to shoot speed and accuracy - this is the basis of the gameplay, so beloved by gamers and not outdated after many years.
Mission Packs are the continuation of the storyline of this 3D series with six stories. Besides The Reckoning and Ground Zero, there are also unofficial 1998 Juggernaut and Zaero addons. The remaining couple of expansions Oblivion and Unseen came out only thanks to the modding community, although their quality matches The Reckoning, Ground Zero and Zaero.
Nvidia has a very pleasant surprise for longtime fans of the action shooter. The developers decided to modernize the game, which is more than two decades old. The remake of Quake II, now RTX, introduces support for Path Tracing shaders for the first time. In this version, players will have access to the first three levels of the single player campaign. Owners of the full licensed version of Quake II will be able to Download the game and play it again completely with new shaders, including co-op and deathmatch mode.
