It is only known that his mother died under unexplained circumstances. The hero and his father are trying to escape from the grief that befell their family. But the place where they enter is turned upside down. One of the residents was killed and the case is being investigated by the police. Sally is naturally curious and tries to figure out what happened. There are many suspects, because the rest of the tenants cannot be called sane either.

The atmosphere here is very specific (not scary, rather indefinite, measured and aloof) as well as the artistic performance. All scenes are hand-drawn. The outlines of objects fluctuate strangely during animation, so that moving characters sometimes look like patients with Parkinson's syndrome. However, in general, the graphics are unique and incomparable.

Sally Face for Mac OS is completely made by one person - programmer Steve Gabri, based in Pittsburgh. Steve drew all the scenes, personally wrote the dialogues and music, and came up with the plot. In 2016, Stephen was laid off and could not find a job for a long time. It was during this period that he came up with the idea to create his own game, since the accumulated money was enough for life, and the general concept had already been invented. The wife was against his idea, with the result that the couple parted. He moved to live with his parents and continued to work on Sally Face. The debut issue did not gain popularity at first, and it was decided to announce a fundraiser for promotion. As a result, we managed to collect 13 thousand dollars. The investment paid off and since then the developer has not experienced financial difficulties.
