The main character of BADLAND is a small black creature with wings called Clone. This is a kind of mixture of a hedgehog and a bird. Throughout the game, he constantly flies, each flap of the wings makes him one step closer to the finish pipe.

The player's task is to keep him in the air at a safe distance from dangerous objects such as fans, giant balls, trees with living branches.
